I am looking for a cheap but ok set of off road lights for my jeep. I found http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=3029 at the HF retail store. I am woundering if anyone has any experiance with these, or can recomend another low cost off road light with the wiring and switch. Thank You.

check wal-mart they have some killer lights very small easy to mount and come with a switch. can't remember the exact name but they're in a green and black box

The problem I've found with most cheap lights is vibration breaks off the filaments inside the bulbs they come with.
Plan on replacing the bulbs with good name brand ones (Sylvania, Wagner, Hella, etc.). H3 type is most common.

I run both those harbor frieght cheapos and the cheapos from wally world. THey both seem to work fine. The harbor frieght lights mounting/adjustment system really sucks. Also they are totally plastic, so In the cold the get really brittle (on a 0* night I broke one of them off). I would recommend something else than those harbor frieghts. Also I know I own a set but I would not purchase the walmart cheapos either. I know Hella makes a deccent light (hella 500 I belive) for like 50 bux 4 two. not to bad also procomp has some cheap 5" round lights too.
hope that helps a wee bit.

Go look at the good lights and then at the cheepie lights esp at he mounting system............

The forklift lights (cased in rubber) are "pretty" good though.

You tottaly get what you pay for with lights.
