Where is the paint code?
Is it on the cowel (one of the many #s?)

you can go to an automotive paint store and ask them what the paint code is. Or, you can go to the dealer and they can tell you. I am not sure where the code is located on the vehicle. Mine is on the sticker in the drivers door I believe.

That's what I did and now my hood is the wrong color. Codes are good.

the paint code(s) are put on a nice heavy duty sticker on the doorjam, so it should be there even if your doors arent. however, if youre not the first owner theres a good bet some surfer guy peeled the sticker off cuz he thought it didnt look cool when he took his doors off. so if you have to go to the dealer, find a nice place thats been covered since it was painted. floor pan? under the a door hinge? under an emblem is pretty good too. get a couple of opinions, and test it on sheet steel before you spray it on.
