ok guys and gals dumb question. are the passenger side chevy and drivers side ford the same. basicly are the shaft lenths the same for each inner and outer. because i can get a set of chevy inner and outer shafts left and right side, would they work in a ford?

you need to indicate which model axle your asking these questions about.

in a dana 60 front, your answer would be no. they are not
the same, and will not work.

Rear axles don't, and front axles do.. but what I really think he meant was what type of axe is in the front? A Dana 44, or a Dana 60?

Sometimes even silly looking questions do have some meaning.

yes its for a front 60 im looking at an 87 ford but i can get a set of chevy shafts, i didnt know if i could just slap the passenger side cheby into the drivers side of the ford and so on.
