I just recently lifted my tahoe and have already lost the rear, have body rub sometimes, and a new squeak under my truck i cant find that is driving me nuts. I know there are pros and cons and i have replaced my rear with an auburn limited slip, fixed the body rub, and cant find that dang sqeak to save my life. Has anyone else has random squeaks that were not from undertorquing?? I'm looking for maybe a common problem area to check. Also i know some of you would know better than me.... what are the pros and cons of adding a body lift on top of a 6 inch procomp lift?? I know there will be a higher center of gravity and less stability at speed but are there any other common problems associated with adding a body lift on top of a suspension lift that i should know about??? Thanks for all the help... Nice Board!!

Is it a 2dr tahoe? My friend has on with a 6 1/2 dick cepek lift and a 3 inch body lift and it is fine, just remember its not a corvette. A general squeak from the truck isnt very specific, where is it coming from? What does it sound like, rubber, metal, brakes?

sorry..... 4 door 4wd tahoe and the sqeaking is coming from mid or rear and sounds like a rattle only when i hit bumps.... ive gone back under retorqued EVERYTHING and cant find it. Im thinking it might be a shock but its kinda hard to get under the truck while its rolling and making this noise lol.

I had a problem with the center caps in my wheels rattleing. Take the wheel off and duct tape the center cap to the wheel from the back side to keep it from rattleing.

To find the squeak have somebody stand on the bumper and jump up and down then lift on the sides to simulate body movement..

I wouldn't add a 3 inch body lift to that Pro Comp but then again I wouldn't have put the Pro Comp lift on my truck to start with :flipoff2:
