I have a 1981 Toyota 4x4 pickup I am selling. It has the title, is street legal, and is an all around good truck for an '81 model. I bought it to turn it into a trail truck, but trying to pay for school at the same time just isn't happening, and I can't afford to have an entire truck just sitting around.
It has the 2.2R Carbed 4cylinder, 4-speed manual transmission, and a long bed. I believe, with the gears (unknown... can't find an axle tag) and 33" tires, it gets about 25mpg. The engine only has about 40k miles on it, as the previous owner swapped the old one out.
It has a 3" suspension lift with BRAND NEW 33x12.50 Mud Kings on the factory wheels. The tires have less than 500 miles on them.
The transmission shifts really well into all gears except reverse, which is sometimes hard to find. The shift linkage is either damaged or there is a problem with the reverse gear itself. Used L45s can be found next to nothing.
Other than that, this truck is mechanically sound.
I am located in Upstate South Carolina, about 30 minutes outside of Greenville.
I am asking $2000 OBO. This is negotiable, since I'm not really sure how much the truck is worth.
