I'm just getting this transfer case put back together after having taken it apart 3 months ago. I didn't label as well as I should have. How can I tell which shift rail is the front?

This is a picture of the Ford Dana 20 rails, they are very close if not the same as the Jeep Dana 20 and International Dana 20… I used this picture to modify my Jeep Dana 20 rails for the twin stick conversion and it works great.
