I just got a T-18 mated to a twin stick Dana 20. I thought maybe it was Jeep, but I also thought it could be Scout. Did that combo ever come in an International?

Yes

What’s the input shaft length, spline count and diameter??

Yes IH offered T18's. Would have to see some pics to identify, but a twin stick D20, would have been from an Scout 800, if it is from an IH.

I think the input shaft is probably a little less than an inch in dia. If this is a T-18 from an early Scout is there any problems with it? Is the input shaft weak? What are the gear ratios?

yes, in two variaties.

If it has a LONG input shaft, then it is off an V-8 equiped Scout. Most likely a later 800 serise, cause I can *think* of any Scout II's that came factory with a twin-stick (did they??)

If it has a smaller input shaft, then it *may* be from a 4-cylinder 800 serise. Do you have the bell-housing??

if you do, and it is an IH 4-cylinder piece, let me know. I may be intrested. Unfortunatly I don't have the dimentions handy, or you could measure and check... but I'm sure someone does....

I thought the 800's with V8 still used the short input? The long input is around 18 inches in total length, with about 14.75 stickout. The short input has about 8 inches of stickout. The numbers are off the top of my head and may be totaly wrong, so take it with a grain of salt.

no the V-8's used a *normal* bellhousing and such... Not the small, "pancake" tilted bell.
