how much head room?

How much head room do you have over your roll cage and where did yall buy your harnesses? I put the stock bar in with the seat and my head was touching it. that bad. but how much room over my head do i need? 3 inches?

If I remember right, US belts material run 10-15% stretch on a harness. So if you have 24" of lap belt, then 2.5"-3.5" is needed if involved in a violent crash.
Follow the directions when mounting the harness or you could end up injuring yourself more, mostly back with the shoulder belts.

Where to get them, do a search on 5-point harness, any race shop has them.

I have about 2-3 inches on new cage, I will pad it with some foam...Wish I had more room, on the nest cage I guess....Running stock shoulder harness. Less room in the back seat, and will have to run lap belts...Hope this helps, just remember to pad it, then your first hit won't hurt as bad....lol....

I'm 6'1" and mounted my seats so I have about 3-4" of room.
