Charly 03-18-2002, 01:07 PM For a non-flammable, low odor alternative (my parts washer is in my basement) I use Zep's purple degreaser (alkaline, Sodium Hydroxide based solution) and it works good. we run a dual head chemical pump we got from Surplus Center and we run a water rinse staion off the second head. This removes any of the film that the degreaser leaves. but for most things the film just comes off if you wipe the part dry, and it's not a lot of film anyway.
