TJ Grille on YJ

I have searched for this with not much luck. I have a TJ grille that I want to put on my YJ. I found the post where they used the hood and grille. I was just wondering if anyone has done it with just the grille and still using the YJ hood

I think the TJ hood slopes more than the YJ hood so you might be left with a gap if you keep your YJ hood.

I read his post, but he used the hood too. I can't get a hood, just a grille.

I was sure I read somewhere that you just need to "adjust" the curve at the front. Guess not, maybe it's time to look for a hood

take the grille "skin" off of the radiator support frame
Do the same with the YJ.
Swap skins and weld in the headlight buckets where they need to be.
Any difference in the shape just massage out with a body hammer till it fits the original lines.

i've researched this a lot. I think your better off filling in the YJ headlight/blinker holes then cutting out round holes. There was a black yj with cj headlight conversion in Peterson Offroad a couple months ago.
