I've got an 89 Full Size Blazer that the body is completely toast on but the drivetrain is excellent. I've also got a 90 S10 2wd that the 4.3 is toast in. Would you swap the S10 cab onto the Blazer frame or just swap the Blazer drivetrain into the S10. I'm trying to decide which is the better option.

I'd trade the s-10 body for something really cool, say, a Ford Maverick 4 door, and put that on the blazer frame...
of course, I'm sick that way...

S10 cab on Blazer frame.
Do this, but make sure you reinforce the frame around the steering box while you have the body off(if it isn't already done.)

s10 on blazer frame? It seems like you are all sugesting he take the easy way out. Personally I think they are great for off-road, but are ugly as hell and no way streetable with that much tire outside the fender. Cops would be on you in a hartbeat.

Why would you put an S10 on the K5 frame, unless the K5 was built as shit? The s10 frame is STRONGER.

Ditto
Put the K5 drivetrain in the S10. It'll have a ton of power and not as top heavy. Plus like mentioned above. The S10 frame is stronger.

If the S-10 is a short box, Then box the K5 frame by the steering box and use the K5 frame. The wheelbase is within an inch. Thats basically what I did, and it was pretty simple with some basic fabrication skills.

get another 4.3 put it in your blazer do a sas
the k5 frame even boxed isnt as strong as the stock s10s
the frame rails are like 5 inches wide in some spots and ive never seen one rot out. inspect both frames and you will see the k5s arent half as good as the s10s.
just use the k5 axles keep the 700r for a backup.
