do they have to be mustang injectors, or can they be pulled from any 5.0/4.6 v8? and what about the ones in the 3.8L V6? since that's essentially a 302 minus 2 cylinders, wouldn't it have the same injectors also?

I'm lookin to grab them at a junkyard, and it's hard to find any mustangs there with motors left in them, unless it's just the :rainbow: 4-banger.

Many threads on JU, in the Grand Cherokee and speedfreak forums, including which injectors to look for and which vehicles they're in; suggest doing a search there.

Good luck finding HO 5.0s in junkyards, with the topend still attached. Around here, if you're lucky to find a 5.0, it's just the block, sometimes the heads still there.

I have heard talk of this but never really paid much attention to it, what do these injectors do for the 4.0?

well, i want some spares, the injectors in my 89 have 100K+ miles on mine, they're gonna leak someday, and since the ford ones are cheaper and some of them have 4 jets instead of one for a better spray pattern and better atomization of the fuel. from what i've heard this gives better gas mileage and more power.

I have some 'stang injectors. I run the motor and I know alot of people that pulled out the stockers to upgrade....so lemme know via e-mail cause I may forget.
