just hold your hands aparts and shake freely in opposite directions....then lock your fingers and shake. If he still doesn't get it I'll come over there and hit him in the in head w/ a tack hammer (tommy boy) :D

yes, the tack hammer is a very effective explaining tool. I use it all the time.

I have one that looks about like that, but the broken spot is a little more jagged. I have been meaning to take all the pieces of one and make it a working assembly again, minus whatever parts of the housing break off, but I never have the motivation.

Warn's website might have some info on servicing the hubs that would have an exploded view of the internals?
