in all honesty i bet he wouldnt have rolled if he didnt have such a stupid amount of flex in the back. that is just excessive and you can see in this case (pic 10 that is his rear was stiffer it would have kept the truck more level. the only reason that the rear is flexed out in that shot is because his RF tire slipped down the wall, causing the body of the truck to go with it. but if the rear was more stiff then it would have held the body level and he could have driven on.

just IMO though dont bash me or anything like i know you will

I agree about having too much rear flex. It seems like if you have too much at the rear that isn't balanced by the front the front will point to the sky until there is a sudden weight shift and over it goes. i like the idea of having enough flex, balance and lockers. Just my .0000005 cents worth (I am Australian after all)

Too much rear flex must be what caused another rig to only take second in the pro mod class. which might I add has identical suspension... but then again it is real easy to be a guru when your a keyboard wheeler....... Like to see some of you shit talkers enter the next event with your great Ideas. Maybe back up a little of that WEALTH of knowledge you all seem to have.......

cause my most capable 4x4 right now is my tow rig, but I would say more likely the problem is not Too Much rear flex, it's not enough front, looks like he has the rear all dialled in for "increased bitchinness" and hadn't gotten the front taken care of yet.

Live and learn

Not like a little tumble will hurt that cage.

Edit: Besides too much flex is like too much sex... gotta be a serious pro AND do a lot of work before it becomes a problem.

Looks to me like, if he had less flex in the rear he would have rolled about 2 pictures earlier, because the rear would have lifted as well. I like it. Maybe someday my old binder will grow up and be that cool.

Yup, everything looks so simple in the garage.
Web Wheelers fail to realize that these copurses are designed to find any weakness in your rigs characteristics, your driving ability, and even your charachter. You cant judge a rigs ability by its rollovers, you have to look at the overall ability.

You SNORT guys build some great rigs, keep up the good work.

Thanx H8.

I guess it is hard to tell from the picture, but the rock in front of the right rear is inverted. That is why he went over.

whoa chill

when I said too much i was saying too much in relation to the front, i would think that a balance of lots of flex at both ends is better than just at one end as the photo appears to show. I

Too much rear flex...

Isn't that why most teams use a fat man at the other end of a strap attached to the rig? To help keep the rig upright?

What do a know... I'm just another friggin webwheeler.

hmm... if I remeber right, that truck actualy has quite a bit of front flex... look carfully at the obstical... there is no were for the front to flex, it is being forced by the side slope on the right front tire.. *maybe* if he turned right and tried to drive up it, it *might* of not flopped.... but I wasn't there, Caines a DAMN good driver.. and I'm sure his spotter is damn good as well... so I'm just web-wheeler speculating...

Shit happens, its a compitition... and it kicked ass!!!

And yes, that is a Scout, and yes Curtis... there probably is more scout in there than yours :flipoff2: :D

Oh yeah and by the way on tuesday before the event I was driving Dave Knights 5 on that same rock in exactly the spot the only thing that saved me from rolling his machine was that I somehow found reverse the first time I tried....... :D :D :D
I wonder if would still sponsor if I fawked up his 5:D :D :D

Just my opinion but I think the only reason he rolled in that spot is cause it's a competition and he didn't want to back up. If he had used reverse he wouldn't have rolled. From what it looks you gotta make a pretty tight turn to get to that spot, but that IS speculation.
