What is the front spring width on jeeps? I need to know on the CJs and the Yjs. Or if anybody knows if a chevy dana 60 will "bolt in"

Thanks Dan

'75 & older = 1 3/4"
'76 - '86' = 2"
YJ = 2.5"
No 60 or 44 will "bolt in"

Okay I ment the spring perch width. I know chevys 32" from spring to spring. I was wondering if I would have to relocate springs or what. I am going to build a jeep rockcrawler for my next project.

CJ = 27.5"
YJ = about 32" (not really sure)
Apparently you don't have either, so I don't know what you're trying to swap into.

Right now I have a 86 Jimmy with 1 ton axles. It is too wide for the trails and keeps getting dented really bad, that and I rolled it six times:D So I want to find something that I can swap my drivetrain into that is a little smaller. If I cant then I will get another K5

Just measured my YJ, at 30 1/2", but my front shackles a little bent, but that's pretty close
