: DANA 300 clocking ring and a TF727

Has anybody tried a clocking ring with a 727 torqueflite? I am wondering if as the transfercase rotates up, if it moves the driveshaft centerline out enough to miss the tranny pan. I would REALLY like to get the case flat with the frame rails. I am already using a small diameter driveshaft....

Thanks in advance

I am almost positive the tranny pan will be in the way. I rotated mine flat, but I run a 999, and the pan is much smaller.

I am running a TF727 behind my 258 on my Scrambler. I have the D300 installed behind the TF727. I can clock it up so it is flat, but when I do the front shaft won't clear the tranny pan. I wanted to do the same thing you are suggesting. To get more clearance I made a bracket that raises my motor mounts 1.5"s. I have a 3/8" skid plate that mounts flat on the bottom of the frame my tranny mount sits right on top of that. The D300 hangs down about 2"s below the frame rails. With an SOA lift I am not concerned about it dragging on things. If you want I can post a pic of my setup tomorrow.

Thanks, that is what it looked like to me, but I had to ask.
