ok guys quick question... friend of mine told me to run all gm outers (knuckle, hub, spindle etc) on the front ford 60 i just got that way i can run 35 spline outers.
will the gm king pins bolt right up to the ford?
and is there anything else i need to look for?
thanks

In order to do this you need EVERYTHING from the knuckle out...The knuckles will bolt up the same.
However, you may have trouble finding all of the 60 outers to put on there. I know that out here in Cali, you'd have better luck finding the tooth fairy...

lol! Well, you answer me about my D44 questions after this...
The problem with the 35 spliners is the hubs, really. Warn *supposedly* makes them for the Chevy outers, but when I wanted mine, they'd sold the tooling, etc to some other company. Not to mention, you can stand on it in your driveway and blow out the hubs. (I'm not kidding) The thing to do is find Spicer hubs that were 30 spline and have been broached to 35 spline or broach them yourself. Of course, where is your weakness after this?
I wouldn't run the Cheby/Dodge stuff anyways because they stick out so far, and you have a choice now between the Ford or Chevy...the Ford hubs are a good 1"+ shorter, which means less likely to rub them off on a rock or something. It's obviously your choice...
The Ford knuckles on out will bolt onto your kingpins, just stay consistent. (Ford spindles no bolt to Chevy knuckles) You have your work cut out for you, but a lot of it's available on eBay as you found.

yup.
the Ford knuckles are interchangable with the GM/Dodge knuckles, but the Fords use a specific 5-bolt spindle that it not interchangable with the GM/Dodge design.
Since the knuckles are such a PITA to find anymore, you're probably better off sticking with the knuckles you have now. there are a lot of little parts on the d60 kingpin assemblies that can be difficult to find and are expensive as Hell to replace. but as long as you didn't buy a bare axle housing, you should be able to salvage most of the really pricey parts.
