So I'm stuck a couple hours from home. Luckily around here public libraries have the 'net, anywhoooo:

Trailer wiring got ripped out of the trailer (female) end of the plug.

I have a 7 pin connector, but only 5 wires going into the female end.

I rewired to now I have lights, but the trailer brakes are locked up.

Wires coming off the trailer:

black
brown
yellow
white
green

From what I've found:
12v= Black
tail lights= brown
left turn= yellow
Ground= white
right turn= green

The diagrams I've found say that a blue wire is for trailer brakes. I don't have a blue wire, but the trailer has brakes . . .

I can pull forward about a foot then the trailer brakes lock up. Reverse a foot then they lock up again . . .

WTF?

You might have the "charge" or 12v wire hooked to the brake wire. Otherwise, make sure you didn't pull the break away safety cable out. That goes to a flat rectangular piece that applies the brakes in case of the trailer separating from the truck.

Then the black is the brake wire and there is no hot wire on the trailer. Try it and let me know what happens. PM me when you trip is over and I'll explain it. Just get back on the road, and have a safe trip.

you can go back and forth because of the way the magnet brakes work...that's normal.

FUCK YEAH!!!

You're exactly right, there is no aux power, the brakes run off the "blue" wire.

Thanks a ton!!!!!
