ok i am a newbie ot this site and i posted this thread in the newbie area already thought i would post it here as well and im most likly awaiting remarks but thats ok as long as its constructive critisism lol and this :flipoff2: seems ot be the trade mark for newbies lol

ok i tried the search button but it said it couldnt find nething on dana 30 stuff which is crap but anyways my question is im gonna be getting a trail rig if i can get it running just has a melted fuse box so a little re-wiring but anyways right now i have a ford 8.8 that will be put in there teh ruck comes with 33's but i want to be able to upgrade to 35's soemtime and possibly bigger since ik now that will happen and i wanted to know if the dana 30 would be good for 35's or not and if its not what axle setup would be good for 35's and bigger?

3 words:

NO. NO. NO.

I used to argue for the value of the 30 or HP30. I built my HP30 to the hilt: warn hub conversion, 4340 shafts with 760's and welded caps, and a detroit. Gears set perfectly.

You'd think I'd blow a shaft or snap gears, right? I expected to atleast blow a hub first. Nope. The brand new Detroit locker cracked first.

Point is: it's a bad platform to build on. Nomatter how much you build it, there's just not enough room for BEEF.

I paid for that mistake, now I'm building my HP60 front / 14 rear combo.

You should use complete sentences, then people will take the time to read your post. And if you didn't find anything on Dana 30's, then you didn't search, so it's not crap, your computer skill are.

Keep the 30. Scrape the 8.8 and go to the AMC 20 with 2-piece rear shafts, they can easily handle what you want to do. You may want to look into a dana 18 t-case also.

Learn to search dumbass:flipoff2:

I guess you are wrong. Writing after school is more important than ever. In school your writing can give you a bad grade. In life, a bad career...

It must be a ID 10 T error.
