I have a cheap aluminum cap to go with the truck...it keeps stuff dry ... Also I have a nice full cross-bed aluminum toolbox.
Paint
I would classify the paint on this truck to be in excellent condition. However, it is factory Chevrolet paint. There are several very minor shopping cart dings... pin size on the vehicle . The entire lower half of the truck has been color painted in chip resistant paint(rubber under/enamel over)... the fiberglass fenders are perfect and have no cracks or chips.
I am the second owner of this nearly mint condition truck. It was purchased new in Chandler AZ at Chandler Chevrolet. The original owner was a 70 year old man and I purchased it with 36,000 original miles. It has never been off road or in 4 wheel drive. It has sat for most of its life and has always been garaged since I have owned it. I have numerous extra new and original parts for it, probably a pickup bed full. I have $20,000 recently invested in this truck, thousands in receipts. It passed California smog with zero emissions. This truck averages 10-11 miles to the gallon empty.
If you are a generation 2 truck collector, this is the vehicle for you. Any and all work has been professionally done. I never thought I would sell therefore all work or parts I put into the truck were either factory ac delco new or aftermarket of better than factory quality. The build has just been completed so most everything is brand new or fully remanufactured. I am sure I have forgotten a number of options and accessories… the list could go on forever. You can fly across the US and drive this vehicle anywhere without hesitation. I am selling it because I no longer have a need for a full size truck. I hope it goes to a k truck enthusiast.
