well, finally found the truck for me. 04.5 600, QC, auto,LB, 4x4,33's its got about 30k on it of VERY easy use. What should I do to it now? Pull about 7000 lbs, so don't really need the power, but what about fuel economy? Chip? exhaust? And I guess more power couldnt hurt:D thanks

I like the Edge EZ chip in those. Cheap upgrade, the power is nice, and they make a big improvement in economy. I drive a 12valve, but my buddy's got an '04 and towing his 12k trailer, the Edge improved it by like 2.5-3mpg.

Does your buddy have an '04 or an '04.5? It makes a difference.

Be careful with Edge EZ on 03+, it's a pressure box and level 3+ can and will damage your injectors. You're better off with a timing/duration box like the edge juice, Van Aaken C3.2, BullyDog Torque Dog / Power Pup, or the TST PowerMaxCR

For a nice, simple box on the 600 series motors a lot of guys like the Quadzilla boxes. Quad is a standup guy with support too. They have a "65HP Tow module", a 0-30-60-100 box and a "race" version with 140hp. Do a simple intake and exhaust to keep EGTs down and you are golden. The boxes are good for 1-3mpg if you keep your foot out of it :D

There are sooooo many options for the CRD Cummins motors now. Check out DTR for some reading.

EZ, no adjustments for power (just for time of delivery)

I second the Juice, heard it just rocks.
