np205 90W or ATF?

On the tow rig (6.2L/TH400/NP205) the NP205 has ATF in it. I read a blurb in a mag that indcated it was suppose to be Gear oil and that i probably have a blown seal between the TH400 and the NP205. If this is case i probably should take care of it ASAP correct as ATF is not suppose to run in the NP205 and will cause problems.... Thanks for the help.

EDIT-Did some searching looks like its supposed to be 80-90W but what does the seal look like? normal seal? Likely hood of speedi sleeve being needed?

ATF will work fine in a 205. It was spec'd by GM for 205s behind automatic in some years. Then you don't need to worry about the seal unless your tranny is losing a lot of fluid.
