hey guys, i have been reading your forum for a couple months now and have really enjoyed it. Now i have a question and know you guys will be able to help. My problem is I bought a used detroit truetrac it was out of dana 44 front end with 3.73. I wanted it for my rear end. I was under the impression by the seller that it would work in my rear end, but after contacting tractech and talking to their customer service they tell me they are designed specifically for front or rear applications. The tech guy also said it is possible to run it the rear but it will not be as agressive as it could be and could possible blow up. My question is has anyone ever ran a truetac designed for the front in the rear and if you did how did function and did you have any problems? and input would be appericated. :trooper:

I would say slap that true trac in the front, as it is a limited slip type of differential so you will get good turning, then get a lockright for the rear.
Or stick it in the rear and use it untill it breaks or you decide you need a locker, then get a locker.
