Hi, I'm a new guy and was wondering if anyone knows or has seen Randy Ellis and his Samuri. I saw it in the Petersons and thought it was a nice setup. I was just wondering if any of you knew what axles and gear ratio and so on he is running. Thanks and I have seen that this is a laid back section of the por board so I should fit in.

I assume you also know about his 4-wheel independent buggy?

I looked at that thread. that's not what I was talking about. In Petersons they said it was Randy's and it was painted flat OD. It had a solid front axle and was sprung over. It was in the Moab article. Anyway thanks for the info. I'm not that slow. I already read about the independent buggy. Well, anyway moving on to gunracer1.

I have an '82 CJ7 but have to sell it for school. I'm kinda looking for a sami. I think they are very cool and can be hard core for little $$. Anyway Thanks again.

His Sammy had a Dana 30 front and D44 rear. Had an air bag suspension in the rear with a 2-link, I think. Not sure about gears or anything else, but I know those are the axles he was running. ~Steve
