I'm in the procees of re-ringing my fj60 right now. I'ts actually not that hard (the parts are $$$$ compared to chevy). just have a good manual & you'll do a better job than most shops!!

That's true, but when treated properly they will outlast the Chevy stuff by about 5 times;)

Piece of cake. Just be careful and check everything twice. Remember everything goes back together exactly the way it came out. Don't switch the rod caps in any way...

Heck I can do it so can you!!!

Thats true, but only if you buy Toyota genuine :( ($$$$$$) otherwise you get the same brand/ quality stuff as you would on a chevy 350, just at 2x the cost b/c they fit a "toyota" 2f.

watch your head gasket when you install it, it can go on backwards leaving the upper valvetrain without oil:eek:

It is easy to screw up if you are not paying attention.
Get the Toyota engine manual. There are a whole bunch of aprts that con go on in two different orientations and only one is correct. They warn you about these and other potential problems in the Toyota manual. Take lots of pictures and notes taking it apart about where everything goes and in what orientaiton. It is a good idea to keep the lifters in order if you are not changing the cam.
