took the cat off and check engine light is on. And yes I realize putting the cat back on and clearing the code will turn the light off.:flipoff2:

You will need a "finger stick", it will turn off the light..

Hey mike what code does your truck read? If its the P0401 & 404 codes then yeah its cat related. What did you do? A complete 4" from the turbo out or just deleted the cat with a down pipe?

Funny thing is mine stopped throwing that code about 5000 miles ago, but who knows if it will come back.

No, the new D-max has a sensor ( I think it is in the variable vane turbocharger) that is looking for a little backpressure that the cat provides. The '05's are littered with emissions stuff. They also have an EGT valve, most people have blocker plates for this (keeps the soot out of the cylinders)..
Thanks to the greenies we suffer from poorer fuel economy (emissions stuff), plenty of oil, but no where to refine it...
