Seeing the mirrors on TVTommy's rig reminded me that I am in need of some functioning mirrors that can take the abuse of an old suspension banging around in the woods. The PO of my closest to functioning 40 screwed Ford truck mirrors into the door. One has rusted off at the hinge and is sitting on the side of I20 between Dallas and the Mississippi River. The other is hanging on with all its got, but its basically worthless. If anyone has any good pics of their mirrors, be they stock or creation, I'd like to see them along with a description of how well they work, the pros and the cons.
thanks

I got some CJ mirrors from JC Whitney made by Steel Horse.
I don't run doors so I screwed the base on the flat spot on the dash right by the headlight switch.
Drivers side only for me.
Big mirrors and they are cheap.

We have mirrors available for $53.60 for the pair. The arms pewter color and they are steel. They can be found on our website at the Parts and Accessories Link. From there look at the mirrors category.

Got mine from Spector Offroad, their round and small but offer great visibility and mount to the wind shield frame, tried some squares from JC but the just bent up due to the mounting bracket and didn't telescope...Spector's do and are real sturdy....

yeah, but what do you do when you take the doors off?
i got some cheapies and modified them to fit the w/s hinges. beats the hell out of paying for oem look-alike mirrors that you can't use without doors.

Hey, um, rmcruisers, not to knock ya down or anything, but so far I think I've seen all of your messages, and all they've done is plug your web site...
Any chance you could toss in a bit of advice other than "buy my stuff"? There's a for sale section for that already.

P.S., just so you know, I do find your website very informative, and there are a couple things that look like I might want them when the time comes :)

I bought a set from Specter. They telescope and fold in two different ways. Although the passenger side is a little tough to see around the cage. They bolt to the windshield bracket, so doors on or off is not an issue. Price may be though, $140 for both. Good luck
