I was driving down the street in my rover and I guess my phone caught on the forward switch for the seat. The seat moved alll the way forward and buried the steering wheel into my ribs. I'm a big guy and having the seat that far forward really sucks! I was able to pull the connector apart and with a test light and a jumper I got the seat to move back
The question is......... Is the box easy to take apart or will I eventually break it trying to get the lever handles off? I figured the contacts on the switch are bad cos the motor works, just not the switch. Any help here?

LOL! No, nobody's ever had a problem with Rover seat switches :flipoff2:
The plastic cover will break when you try to remove the switch. When you try to open the switch, the springs and ball bearings will fly about the room.
When you do finally get the seat where you want it, cut the wires to the seat motors and you'll never have this problem again.

Thats EXACTLY the answer I was expecting. Once I got the seat where I wanted it I just left the connector apart. Thanks for the reply! Still digging my rover......
Man,don't cut the wires:shaking: ,Sucks to try to remove the seats when they don't work(and there's alot of crap under those seats that you need access to)
How about wiring in a toggle switch?that would be the pimp setup:grinpimp:
Got a County LWB customer that I "helped out" by robbing the passenger side harness(It already had a fragged switch) to bypass the power seat module on the driver's side since all it did was move the passenger side mirror everytime you tried to adjust the driver's seat,he brought it back for the third time today for me to manually adjust the passenger seat with a power probe so his pregnant wife could get comfortable,at least he brought his wife this time.(I digress)

I didn't cut it, I just left it apart. There's enuff wires hanging loose doing nothing. Actually my seats are pretty bad. I was gonna fab some Honda seats in there. I saw a nice set for $50 at a junkyard. The color matches and everything.
