is there a way to re-hub a superduty dana 60 axle so that it has a standard 8 lug patern or a way to take a dana 60 full floater and re hub it with a super duty lug pattern. or if nothing else a way to convert a superduty 60 to 5 on 5.5 lug pattern? any ideas?

There was an article in i think Petersons magazine, or Fourwheeler about converting the hubs on a superduty. I think it was last months, you may be able to still find it on the shelves.

i'll hafta try taking a look. i had one thought since i posted has anyone used those pattern change aluminum spacers? just wondering if they where strong enough to wheel on. seems to be the cheapest option.

Can anyone tell me what the metric patern is on a superduty?
I need it to recenter some hummer rims on my work truck

Bringing this back up because i'm looking for the same fix. Found an 04 superduty Dana60 for a good deal but allready recentered the H1s to 8x6.5.
Two options i've found so far

option A.
http://www.dynatrac.com/products_freespin_ford.html
$1600. Wheel hub conversion from dynatrac. I'm assuming you'd be able to get the appropriate bolt pattern instead of the stock one. This does get rid of the unit bearing and upgrade the lockouts and outer shafts but getting the axle at a good deal is tossed out if i've gotta spend 2grand when its all said and done.

option B.
http://www.truckn-store.com/product.asp?returnURL=default.asp&ID=93754
$300. Bolt pattern adapters/spacers. From what i can find minimum spacer is 2". So while this will convert the bolt pattern its also going to add 4" to the width. But its cheap and simple.

Anybody else found another way? I havn't torn apart one of these "unit bearing" 60s and can't really find much info on it. Could you simply replace everything from the spindle out with old ford 60 parts?

go with option B, trade someone your recentered H1's for stock H1's, put the spacers on, and you wouldn't be as wide. IMHO.

took another look and the bolt pattern is much different on the 99 up knuckle. from what i could tell its 4 larger studs that have nuts on the inside of the knuckle. So scrap the idea of changing spindle out.

How about changing the knuckle out? Replacing the 99 knuckle with a balljoint 60 knuckle from a previous year? from a rough measurment the inside of the inner C measures 7.5". Is this close to a pre-99 ford hp60?

I will have a kit that is much cheaper then the others out there. Should have it finished in a few weeks.

Cheap fix, have your unit bearing/rotor redrilled. ~$125
