ok i called 4 wheel parts to order new rims and tires, they say they dont sell 15 inch rims in 8 lug, ok no prob. how about 16.5 they say ok but the bead seal is different and no good when airing down....can someone explain???? is it worth the grinding to be able to run 15s vs 16.5 rims???also i will be airing down alot..running sand dunes and mud with 94 wrangler 450 hp 383 stroker chevy one ton running gear...i did the disk brake conv. on rear 14 bolt and my thickest point is just under 14.5 inches,how much room do i need for 15 inch rims??:beer:

Whoever you talked to is a fucking idiot. You can get 15" rims in 8-lug, i just ordered 5 of them today. I don't think 4wheel whores has them in black tho, you have to get white or chrome.

Call les schwab. I got the allied white spokes 15x8 8lug for $27/ea

I think you can get away with 3" w/o grinding, maybe just 2.5", but I went 4" as my axles are wide.. I'm just going to grind the calipers down some.

they dont make tsl sx in 38.5/14.5/16... so iwas told....please give me phone number for les...yes it was the black ones i was looking for but anything will do, they didnt tell me about the others.........so the grinding is done on the face??? i thought it would be on the top to reduce the circumfrence...

heck i am running 15x10" black rockcrawlers that i ordered from 4 wheel parts last year. either the guy you talked to was :smokin: or they quite selling them. i'd check again.

I just got my 8 lugs through 4WPW less than 6 months ago :rolleyes: I would however, steer clear of them , they dont know their heads from their asses over there.3

To answer your question...get 15 inch and grind away, I musta spent 3-4 hours on each side :(

keith must be limp wristed i ground mine in 3.5 hours total and personally wouldn't run anything without a safety bead and beadlocks. GO FOR THE GRINDER

summit has some Bart super truckers in 15x10 8 lug but they are white , 66 a piece if i remember right. on 6 bucks handleing charge and free shipping

ok now what kind of backspacing can i get away with, id like to suck it in as far as possible, im running full with axles on a yj.????i am ready to do some grinding...

on my 3/4 ton dodge d44 with the 15x10 barts with 3 1/2 BS i had to grind almost a 1/4 inch off the top of the caliper about 2 inches across. took awhile and alot of test fits but its on there

dude , go with humvee rims i picked up 5 last week with the runflats -hence- beadlocks for 200$ yep thats right i have full width axles but you can machine out the centers and make what ever offset ya want....

If you go with the HumVee rims and locks/runflats ... make sure you go to ...
