oh i have a set of those. you pull up on the non- hinged end of each of the bars, spin it 180 degrees, and then push it back down so that it goes into its "slot". do it for both and they lock/unlock. pretty cool actually- beefy design.

the ones i have are for a land rover and are made by DualMatic- what are those on?

First step: spray the crap outa them with PB Blaster or WD-40
2: pull up on the rusty long arm lookin things, flip them almost all the way over so they are stickin out of the hubs.
3: rotate em back over the slots ya pulled em out of
4: Push em back in the slots ya pulled em out of.

Old lever locks. I've seen a few, but every pair I've seen had been on the beginning of a project, they get swapped out quick, not too strong.

Where do you come up with this $hit? They were strong compared to a dana 25 spider gear. They are weak, old, junk. Try wheeling with a set.:rasta:

They work just fine if they are still in good condition. The biggest problem they have is the levers wear and tend to flip back open. If the levers are real easy to move, I'd use them as bookends, otherwise leave them where they are. They are dualmatics, can't get parts for them anymore.

50 year old stuff - built tough that's why it's still around. Wanna see some 40 year old cutlass hubs in use too?

ok but my experience is that I broke 3 before my spiders went in my dana 25. and 25 spiders are pretty weak.

My buddy has a set. Seem pretty strong, however locking an unlocking them is a BITCH!! (Atleast for him) And the hub bolts loosen all the time, regardless of torque and or locktite. And if you tighten them to tight, they will not lock nor unlock.

All in all, cool looking but too much of a pain in the ass for me. :D

More classic hubs: A friend of mine has a set that's about 40 years old, still work like new. Basically the same design as a warn 1/4 turn, but with a more user friendly knob.

You could if you had too, but normally you just turn the knurled knob by hand.

I have some on my 47. Everybody says they are bulletproof but the bolts come loose and theyre on a 27 axle. I should have an extra set real soon since I'm replacing the both axles with 44's

I got a set of the cutlas hubs on the willys I got a few weeks ago, the damn things lock and unlock easier than any warn I have ever had !!! I think the truck is a 52, but not sure. I have another set on a FC front axle, I think i'll give em a try, see how they work out. They can't be any worse than the selectro's for locking themselves out can they???
