A T18 is an easier swap, and might be less expensive because you can find the adapters second hand. There is more than one gear ratio for first gear, more than one input shaft size and more than one tcase as a stock option, so read up on the specifics. I have one in mine behind an AMC360 and it was a boltup with the correct bellhousing.
