I got on a parts deal a Napco front axle. Anybody know anything about this old dinosaur?

Is there a market for it?

I figure there must be some resto. guy wanting it somewhere.

they are rare. they were used in old army trucks. try to sell it to somebody restoring an old dodge army truck or something, you could get a good amount of $$$ for it.

There are definitely vintage Chey guys out there dying for that unit. It is worth selling. Not sure how to find those people.

One of my latest four wheeler magizines says if you find A napco axle it is worth around 5,000 to 10,000 dollers in any condition. Better check into it before you sell it.

I caught that article too, they were not very specific about the model that is so rare though and they said you kinda need the truck too to really hit bank.

The gears are 5:13 or similar, I don't think he has measured the ring gear yet, but I would guess somewhere around 11" give or take.

The whole truck was there, but we like to just strip what we can use and leave the carcass lying. It was under a 50something Ford, had a rockwell T-case and a d70rear with an installed from the factory Detroit locker.

Skeetshooter, If you get big bucks for that oversize trotline weight I will be kickin my ass for months for not partnering up with you on that pile of scrap like we first planned:flipoff2:

If they were the same thing they wouldn't have two names. A birfield has a ball in the center, Rzeppa does not.

I have two names, and i'm the same person no matter what you call me. I don't know about birfields vs. Rzeppas, but that's not the best logic.
