I saw a hitch with an airbag attatched for suspension. Ever seen one, and how much are they? Do they work for a long time?

No! Sorry, I should've stated that. Same principle though, it absorbs the shock from bumps.

Sorry for the slow post, my wife to me out to lunch (the old nooner strikes again :grinpimp: )I've seen these before. They do them for gooseneck hitches and 5th wheel hitches. I had one customer ask for one once and then he found out what they cost. He went with the standard gooseneck and has never complained about it. Try going to http://www.bestairhitch.com and see what you can find. I don't really deal with them, so I can't give you real accurate information about them. Hopefully that web site will help. Let me know if you need any other information.

I put a lot of milage behind the wheel towing and most of the milage is with a gooseneck. If the trailer is loaded with the proper amount of tongue weight, they pull very smooth, so I can't see getting one. But hey, maybe I'm missing my little slice of heaven, but I don't think so.

I'm talking about a receiver type hitch.

Oops. Ok, I've seen spring type receiver hitches, but never an airbag type receiver hitch. Interesting though, with a rear receiver hitch, it would help a lot with the jerking. I would first try one of the receiver ball mounts that has a cushion inside of it at the hitch pin. Convert-a-ball makes them, and Draw-Tite sells them. You can get them rated for 10,000 lbs. and should run between $60 - $70 depending on how much drop you need. This would be a much less expensive thing to try before going with a whole new receiver hitch itself. I'm not real sure what the spring type ones cost, but I do know that they are up there in price. I've never used a cushioned ball mount myself, but have heard good things about them in the past. I don't have any personal experience though.
