Found an ad for a '66 Power Wagon 4x4, and just trying to figure out exactly what all it is. It has a slant 6, 4spd, twin stick transfercase, D60 rear and D44 front.

Can anyone elaborate on what transmission, transfercase, and axles this thing might have and if they would be worth using for a conversion.

Thanks!

Don

There should be a data plate in the drivers door jamb. It should list all the info you want. If not, probably a NP435 trans, NP201 case, and the front will be closed knuckle. I would think it would depend on what you want to use the stuff for to know if it's worth swapping.

should be a np540, or a np435 trans. A np200, or a np205 t case. Closed knuckle d44 front, and a course spline d60 rear (probabally 19 spline).

please dont hack it up for its running gear. The running gear is kinda rare, and isnt very strong when used for wheeling. At best, you have a transmission.
