I guess this is what happens when you think you can take somebodies word on something now-a-days. me and roctoy set up a trade for my built CJ for his mostly stock (besides front suspension) Toyota pickup. the deal was that
i would get the toyota with chromoly shafts and CTM's for the front dana 44
plus 2 fox 14" air shocks. Long story short the shafts dont fit my axle and the air shocks are still MIA!! :shaking: :mad3: im pissed. I have tried contacting 'roctoy' with no results. its people like this that makes it harder and harder to trust anyone anymore. :flipoff2:

His name is Ben originally from George Town but re located to Colorado after our deal. my old jeep is in George Town probably sitting right outside of his mom's house just as i left it. maybe its time for some pirate repo! This guy bought an axle off me a month ago and sent me cash in the mail. He told me his buddy will come pick it up and I told him I leave for the navy at the end of the month so he will be out a 180 bucks if his buddy doesnt come pick it up. Oh well Roctoy if you read this, contact me immediately cause in about 15 days I will be off to Great Lakes.

I traded him my jeep for a toyota truck w/a ford 302 in it, deal went smoothly, but if anyone swings by his moms let me know if there is an orange cj5 out front, I would love to have that jeep back.

Looks like he may have lied to you about leaving the west coast for Colorado, although it looks like some mexican chick is using some of his info in CO so double-sucks to be him.

It appears he went to Lincoln NE instead, where he's been staying with possibly an aunt and uncle. One is a doctor.
He seems to be trying to hide using another family members' information, so someone else is probably looking for him too.

I got a check from Ben last month that had a return address from Colorado. I think your looking at a couple different people. The Ben I dealt with said he got a robbed awhile back and that was the reason for him not returning any of my calls to have his friend pickup his shit out of my backyard.

You wouldn't happen to have a copy of the mailing header from that check would you?

Could easily resolve any confusion...and if he got robbed that would explain the bitch who's using his SSN.

I've been staying out of this, but since I mentioned Dave, I'll answer this. I went up there with my cousin to do this trade and the deal was supposed to include 14" air shocks from what I read. When we got there, the shocks were not there and supposedly they were at "Daves Offroad" on display and it was Sunday/they were closed. Bens little brother was going to get them and mail them,OK not even my deal so whatever. For all I know the whole story about the air shocks was just made up and Ben never even had them/owned them. That is what I was referring to when I was talking about "Daves Offroad". Just being sarcastic about what we where told.

Thanks for clearing that up , I personally saw those fox air shocks at Dave'z. They do exist and Dave took them to Ben to try and keep him out of hot water on this deal.....

As a Deputy Sheriff, I need to warn you about going over there to repo your vehicle.

First off, the guys on TV have rules they follow its not just showing up and taking the car. A repo agent has to contact the local cop shop and tell them what they are doing. They have to supply the VIN #, the location they are taking the car from, who they are taking it from and the rightful owner/leinholder which is a bank usually. If you signed the title over to him, its his. If you go take it that its grand theft or here in NV its Grand Larceny of a Motor Vehicle which is a felony. If you cannot work this out with him directly then you need to take him to court. I know its a hassle but you need to keep this legal. Tell your story to the court on your terms not after you've been arrested. The court is not going to care about your sob story if you just go take his vehicle. You do not need to go to jail because of some asshat.

I know you are pissed but think about what you are going to do before you do it this is serious.

aint this some shit. well i guess i'll give my side of the story. this kid trades me his quote "built bad ass jeep" for my truck and some parts. I live here in co and had my brother deal with the trade. I saw several pictures of the jeep it looked fine. The axels being the wrong size was my fault, I bought them on the board from a member who said they came out of a full size front end, which is what I needed. I sent you a pm concerning the condition of your amazing jeep when I saw it in person. The fact that it wont run for more than 20 sec. The headers are attached to the exhaust with tin foil and wire, the motor mounts are stacks of washers, the front end binds up and makes popping noises when you turn, the distributor just sits on top of the motor, and the wiring to the battery is wraped around a nail, which has been pressed into the terminal. On top of all that, where is the paper work for the jeep. You want to take this back and give me my stuff go for it. When you did not respond to my pm I firured you dont have any paper work and feel lucky some one traded you for you poorly built rig, hence the reason for me keeping the air shocks. You want to send me some paper work for the jeep, I 'll send you the air shocks and the $20 for my half of the gas. And dont bring davez automotive into this. This is between you and me and thats it.

oh hi ben whats up thanks for finally joining us and answering me for the last i dont know 3 months!
look i know for a fact that the jeep runs fine and does not die after a certain amount of time and the distributor was bolted down just fine. whatever you or your brother did or whoever, that is not my problem. now i do feel i represented the condition pretty well on this rig. and even if i didnt that doesnt even come close to what i got with this toyota. ok the first run i go on two weekends ago the motor spins a rod bearing and about spits a rod through the block. now do you hear me bitching to you about that? not to mention yesterday as im installing a roll cage i can pop through the floor boards with a fawkin pocket screwdriver theres so much rust but i seem to remember asking you about the rust and you said that it wasnt that bad. hmmmm. as for the crappy battery and what ever else you dont like big deal.. bro new battery cables and even some 'MORE' bomb proof motor mounts dont add up to appox $400 worth of shocks and approx $1000 worth of worthless axles and not to mention a new engine!!! If this jeep was an awesome piece of engineered equipment where you wouldnt have to do any work on it do you really think i would have been so stupid to trade for basically stock toyota with supposidly some ' bad ass axles' and 'air shocks'

no offense but you have to clue what you are talking about since you were not a part of this deal. i feel everything i sell is represented the best it can be online and with pictures. obviously with everything sold online you cannot take everything into consideration and you cannot split hairs on tiny differences. I have done a great number of deals buying and selling items on this board with not one problem up to this point. The bottom line is that if you are told you will get certain parts as part of a deal, you better get them.
i have not gone back on my word one bit. if you feel you would not do buisness with me over this matter that is your buisness but just look at the situation as little bit better before you start judging me.

Hold on man, it appears he has done his due dilagance, No need for the word "Asshat" to be thrown out there (funny word BTW) besides I am sure we can sympathize with a guy that does not want his house to look like a junkyard. On the flip side, legally the transaction is not complete (in the eyes of a judge in small claims court) if it escalates that far. So, if he cannot pick it up, you will need to return the $ less a reasonable fee for your time.
