: Aarrgghhh!!!!
stonpny 03-19-2002, 08:52 PM My club voted tonight to have a show n' shine. I felt like :barf: . why do people insist on having these things? I just dont get it. although i do feel like going and parking on some of theese guys hoods and tell them when they grow up they to can have tires over the size of 33". what really pisses me off are the guys with all of the money that buy every possible accesory they can to put on there jeep........go out on the trail and cry because they scratched their paint, or somebody backed into them(if they werent following so close it wouldnt have happened). Sorry to rant had to blow off steam of the ass in our club, im sure every club has one(we seem to have more than our share). i wish my bronco could shake mud off like the heep commercial, i would drive it to the Puke n' Shine and coat everyones shiny accesory laden, soccer mom hauling, 12 light havin', parking lot heroes!!!
:nuke: :nuke: :nuke:
High5 03-19-2002, 08:57 PM heck if i were you i'd go enter it. i'd take my trail beaten heep to one just for fun. heck ramp up onto one of the street jeeps!
Rubicrawler 03-19-2002, 09:18 PM sounds like it's time to find a new club!
ChadLloyd 03-20-2002, 04:15 AM Or form your own.
A group of us formed our own after we got sick of the first club we were in, even though most of us were founding members of the first club. Just couldn't handle the newbie/light modified bias. Many our members of both clubs, but do their real wheeling when they're with us.
Basically on every run, the run had to be such that anyone in the club could come along. Even the stockers! What a JOKE.
Form your own club, that's what I say. It'll be smaller, but you'll have more fun. See our 'about' page, which was written as we formed the second club and were still pissed at the first:

white knight 03-20-2002, 04:20 AM show n shines= spend the day bullshiting with other 4x4's because you're truck is broken . People don't know it-they just look at it telling you how great it looks :D
I think that almost every show n shine I have attended to date, the truck has been busted. It's a cheap day .
By the way, I don't belong to ANY clubs. It's not that terrible, really
mytzlflick 03-20-2002, 04:28 AM whip on down to the local wrecking yard, beg borrow or steal a sidekick or tracker, polish the thing up and bolt on whatever chrome doo-dads you have laying around (I know you have some I have lots that I tore off my trail rig) then take it to the show-and-shine and use it as a wheel chock for your real truck.
Welby 03-20-2002, 08:27 AM Triangle 4wd has them over the summer. I've gone to a couple. Nobody really cleans their junk up though.. Just an excuse to get some good food, hang out and talk wheelin'. Now what's wrong with that? :flipoff2:
BTW: Believe it or not, it's OK to clean your ride every now and then. Having mud on it all the time doesn't make it "hardcore". Just clean the thing up, and go hang out. Or don't. With your attitude, you most likely won't be missed

Thanks for the vote of confidence Welby:flipoff2:
I will be attending, but i will probably do the whole park on a sami/tracker(nothing against those, just inexpensive and they are usually parking lot posers)
welndmn 03-20-2002, 10:18 AM My Club normally enters into the Car show here, all of get rig stacks, show off our dents and play wheeling viedos as we sit and drink beers,
Its mainly a n excuse to go out and hang out and drink, fun time, people always come up and ask "why do you do that to your trucks?"

We do the same thing at a local show , last year we even took 2nd and 3rd place in the AMC class. In clubs you have to take the good with the bad.

And don't forget to spend $40 on chrome/silver spray paint.
You'll have the shiniest rig there.
I think any exposure to the public of 4x4s is a good thing. If some dude debating on a 4x4 or a civic comes out and decides on the 4x4, then you got one more wheeler out there to defend offroading...
Plus its a good way to share info etc...
Good excuse to wash your truck:D
Bones 03-21-2002, 07:02 AM Sounds like you and the rest of the actual wheelers in the club need to break off and do your own thing. That's me and a friend started MO-4XTOYS. Still REAL small, but it's better than a bunch of posers with too much chrome, AT's and $300 PIAA lights :D
