i have a 72 blazer and i believe it has a 4" lift but dont know for sure. the truck has 33" tall tires. does anyone have the same setup and if so could you please measure from the bottom of you front fender lip to the ground. it would help if the measurement was from the center of the lip through the hub to the ground. a level floor would be perferable. thanks very much. tommy

Do you have a pic of the truck from the side showing the arch in the springs ?

If you post it would help to get your answer..

I can't tell much from that pic but I can say that there is not much lift on it at all.. Maybe 2 or 3 inches at most..

Are you sure it's not a body lift ?

yeah mud postive its not a body lift. matter of fact i need new body bushings:shaking: well thats good news. i will still post pics of springs tonight. that bumper and winch wiegh a ton. so there could be major sag, i think anyway. in the rear it looks to also have some sort of rube goldburg spring helper/add a leaf

it seems you are correct, Sir.

i spoke with a lady at http://www.offroaddesign.com/ and she gave me a measurement point i was talking about earlier. the top of the front axel to the bumpstop bracket on the frame. she said 9-10" was stock therefore 15-16" would equal a 6" lift. i have 11" so figuring her numbers 4x4koko was correct with his 2" statement. thanks all for helping. now time to oreder a 4" lift:grinpimp:

bwahahahaha.

well now 4" lift. btw will use a tuff country because the seem to be the only one i can find with hd front springs to help with the dead wieght up front.

already double shocked it. complete brake job last weekend from hoses, master, wheel cylinders and 2 hardlines i messup getting 34 yr old rubber hoses off. :mad3:
minor engine work...comp rv cam, performer intake, eddy 600 carb and some headers and a recurved hei.

as far as body i am thinking of using the camo overwrap on it. i will paint the bumpers black and prolly get new black wheels. cut the brush guard off and fab something else that doesnt look quite so redneck(ha and i am from texas) and a soft top.

cosmetic clean up on the inside. finish the cage out.

then enjoy. got a hunting place in east texas and the roads to the blind are pretty narrow and its really hard to get my f350 through. so i stole this from a buddy. plus i have always wanted a vert. lol

i am certainly open to any other suggestions. but i do have to keep it somewhat mild with motor and lift. i already have a couple of hot rods so a truck trying to act fast wont cut it. :grinpimp:

once again thanks for all the help.

Here is a spring rate table http://coloradok5.com/springratetable.shtml
If you want heavier spring than the TC HD then you could get Rough Country
and they are cheaper.. Which ever one you go with you should get rear springs instead of the blocks..

Is that a custom built top ?

If you do go with the Camo I would like to see it and hear how you like it when you do :D

mud i know i need springs but this is one of the truely budget projects. i have already trashed it to hell. i will end up doing the leaf flip from ofd. i was thinking of just reversing the shackle where you notch the existing perch and just flip the shackles, but i get kinda conflicting views over at ck5.

i have no clue on the top. came with the truck. there is some spider cracking in the fiberglass on it but over all its a nice piece and pretty solid. not sure what i will do with it when i go soft.

i will keep you informed on the overwrap. seems there are 2 companys that i have found the other camo clad is a 5 ml thick product but i dont know the texture of the skin. it looked shiney as opposed to the overwraps with is a duller product and also perforated. i still need to do more research. but i will shoot you an email or post when i begin and finish. tommy

I'll take that top from you. It's not worth anything anyways.:grinpimp:

I' m fairly certain that that is the stock half cab like on the early broncos and scouts. They are very rare, and probably worth a little bit of coin.
