There's several things you can do. Get Dana 18/20 gears from an early bronco. Those are about 2.5 or so to 1. You can also get a 3.15:1 set from tera, but those run about $700-$800.

try looking here:

http://www.teraflx.com/cf/cat/product.cfm?ID=188

there's probably more options, but those are just the two easiest to find out about...

Try Bc Broncos they have a reduction kit of 4.68 to 1. kinda steep though 1400$ i think. Terras are cheaper but dont offer much of a reduction, I also would recomend a stronger output shaft being as how the dana 20's is week.

They key to this post is 727.

You're SOL.

O'Brien may have something for you, but that's about it.

Do a SEARCH in here.. we've discussed this before. :D

Tera is rumored to now offer the low gears for the Scout II 727/D20 combo.

At also Jack O'Brien @ 1 (916) 773-3278

It's not a rumor anymore...I was on their website and they are listed...and my buddy has a test set, so they make them for sure....

What about a np205 from a dodge? Wouldn't it bolt up to the TF727. I was think of something like the ORD doubler kit with the np205-203 behind my TF727. Would this work? Why or why not?

Would work, but you'd need new drive lines.

I looked on the web site for 727/d20 and didn't see it...so I called they list for 966.60 but this company had them for 701.00 it is 3.15:1 ratio.

Why not steal the rear output from a waggy run a heep d300 with a 4:1 kit??

Sure the 300 is not as solid as a 203/205 combo, but I would be comfortable with a 345/392 not busting the D300 rear output.

you will need a dodge output and then you could run the 203/205 and you will only be adding 150 lbs of dead weight....

Um..the ORD kit requires the 203 to go first and then the 205 to bolt to it...I don't know if a 203 ever came behind a 727...but the 205 from a dodge wouldn't matter...

you are right you need the tranny to go to the 203, dodge 727 to 203 is pretty common.

As mentioned above, use the Wagoneer main shaft and rear housing, put a Klune on it and then a Dodge 205 on the Klune.

That's $2K for lower gears....although, if one dropped in on my doorstop, you wouldn't hear me complainig...

I like going to a waggy shaft and tailhousing, many more options down the line. Plus heep 300's are way cheaper...
