Will a pitman arm from a (manual steering) '68 Scout 800 fit onto a power steering box of a Scout II? I don't think the draglink ends are the same (that's OK though), just wondering if the splined area is the same.

I doubt it, a manual Scout II pitman arm will not work on a Scout II power box BTDT.

Almost forgot a bronco (like 78 I believe) drop arm will work on the scout boxes and give you the big ass 7/8-18(thread pitch of TRE) taper (Es2234?) so you can use them on the tierod (if chevy not sure about scout) and draglink => one spare... I am going this route not sure if this made sense I am filthy and tired...:p

Thanks for the info Scouter. Which Scout gear box will the aforementioned Bronco pitman arm fit onto?

I am actually wanting to modify my Dad's pitman arm on his '68 Scout 800 but I don't want to take on the project of upgrading to power steering just yet. Later on we'll get some power steering but would like to use the pitman arm that has already been modified for the custom steering.

I'm pretty sure it's the ScoutII signaw box. this same pitman arm fits most Signaw boxes.
