Mike is right...there is only a few options available for the Amigo rear end (Isuzu 12bolt) In the range you are going you are stuck with 5.38, 4.77, 4.56(I think that is all) however, this rearend is beefy(especially for a stock light weight SUV) You are getting a size that is somewhere between a Dana 44 and a Dana 60(leaning more towards the Dana 60)
The Toyota, you are topped out at 5.29, with the option of 4.88's and a little lower(I thought I have seen some 5.70's or so.but I wouldn't recommend it..and not even sure I am right)
So, you need to either match up your rearend with Dana products for the front(assuming you are doing SAS) Almost all the gear rations available for the 12bolt or the Toyota rearend are going to be available in Dana...Otherwise you will have to make a comprimise and either have unmatching gears and make up for it with tire pressure.

4.30's are also available for the Isuzu Corporate 12 bolt.

A lot of people run 5.29s and 5.38s without a problem. Depends on what kinda wheelin you do.

Bingo. Mud or loose surfaces won't be a problem. Long stints on pure slickrock may show up as some bind. I would not risk it on the highway. Off road, it takes time to build up the differences that cause bind. On road and at speed, you can reach that point much faster.
It is probably not even enough to worry about fixing with tire pressures when wheeling. But, it is something to keep in mind. Low gears, lockers and high traction could potentially cause some problems.
I am not really sure what Skeet is trying to do. SAS on the Amigo or using the Amigo 12-bolt on the Runner.

What i am trying to do is find matching gears for an amigo rear end and toyota front end. i have a 92 amigo with a 79 toyota axle in front, the front yota axle has a third member from a 94 V6 4runner, so i have 4.56 gears front and rear and i am looking for toyota and amigo gears that match.

thought amigo's had the d44 rear end?
either way, if it's a Zu rear end, either tryin to track down the 4.77's floatin around, although those may only be for the 12 bolts, or go with some 5.38's
but i'm pretty sure the rear on an amigo is gonna be a d44 which still means because of the front end (unless you're lookin at SAS) you're gonna be limited to 5.38's

The 2nd Gen's have the Dana 44, but all 1st Gens have the corporate 12 bolt. So his being a 92 is the 12-bolt.
Like Mike said, you can run the 5.29's in the front and 5.38's in there...as long as the wheeling you do is a little looser surface(sand, mud, etc) Slickrock and highway, where traction is pretty good, you will eventually do damage to the drivetrain. Just keep mindful of the difference and that given good traction..things are not going to be running in sync.

I mean would there be a problem other than appearance? :flipoff2:

Other then it looking like shit? No:flipoff2: Of course, I don't think size would work, but more like manufactorer. Since their sizes seem to always been different for the same size, you could go redneck and have mismatched tires in 35" size.
