Does anyone have any good info on what coils to use for my fj40. I am thinking of going with a early Bronco style setup. Any ideas or suggestions, pics?
Thanks for the help

no sure about the coils but how are you going to locate the axle (4 link, etc.)? Also, please search first next time. BTW, welcome :flipoff2:

Not really sure, I would like to see what others have done. Did a search, but didn't find much.
Thanks for the welcome

I've got some stock EB coils sitting in my garage taking up space. You can have them if you want them.

I used Pro-Comp 4" Coils for a Jeep TJ on my rear.

They are 160 lb/in. I run a custom three link with upper wishbone and two lower arms. I use Ford F-150 radius arm bushings on the pivot end and standard bushings on the fixed end. The tubing for the arms is 2" x .120 ERW.

Wolf, how much rear steer do you get with your rear three link. And does it bother you?

My links are long and quite parallel, so, rear steer is not too much of a problem. I've never had it be a noticable problem.

Thanks for all the input guys. I really trying to get more info on the placement and mounting of the front coils. With the stock front end there is not a lot of room for coil towers/shock towers. I'm wondering if I'm going to need to cut a lot of the fender away.Does anyone sell a pre-fabbed part or am I gonna have to do a bunch of grinding/welding/bending etc? (My favorite past time lately).
