Does anyone know what fuel pressure the fuel pump puts out on a 1986 350 T.B.I. motor?

I talked to painless wiring about their wiring kit, to make it easier to throw the motor in my jeep and they said I will need a pump that puts out 45lbs, but I talked to Jegs and the guy started laughing and said there is no way that motor needs that much fuel pressure. (I know he is just a sales rep but he sure seemed to know what he was talking about)

There is a $200+ price difference between a 45lb pump and a regular one that he says I need.

I cant get ahold of Painless to clarify cause they are lazy and closed on saturdays.

Any thoughts?

Would changing over to a painless wiring harness make any difference?

The fuel pump will produce 45psi but the regulator built into the throttle body will only use 15psi.....contact Howell fuel injection 1-810-765-5100 about their Harness their product is great and their tech support is the best I've ever dealt with.
