After reading the post in feb about how many people drive SD's, I want to know who is running oversized tires? I plan on pulling a 30' gooseneck so I need a good tire for a load. I'm not planning on lifting it but I should still be able to run a 33" or atleast a 32" I'm assuming. I want to run a 33x 12.50 bfg/at but I don't think it's load rated high enough. What ya think?

If you stick with the 7" wide factory rims, then the highest load rated tire available (3400#) is the Cooper 265/75R16 load range E. (10.5 x 31.5") These are available in several tread designs ranging from highway ribbed, to fairly aggresive (about like BFG MTs)
If you want to preserve hauling ability, note that it is VERY expensive to buy aftermarket rims with load ratings as high as the forged Alcoa OEM wheels. Wider off-road tires tend to offer softer sidewalls, so the load ratings often decrease as you move to wider tires. Don't expect good durability from your ball joints and tie rods if you put large offset rims on these heavy trucks.
Guys run up to 285/75s and even larger on the factory rims, but they are not available with as high a load rating, as the coopers I mentioned, especially when aired down as required for even tread wear.

I was looking at the procomp 305/70R16 which is load range D or a BFG 315/75R16 which is also load range D. That should be good enough shouldn't it?
Does anybody have any experience if these tires will fit w/o a lift?

they will answer any question you got about your tow rig.
i will be putting the 315 bfg m/t on mine and will be towing a large 5th loaded with lots of weight.
i also have a 4" lift.
my buddy just put the 305 bfg m/t on his with no lift
