To a flat bed? I will be getting one for free soon. Pics would be delicious.

Plan to do a conversion with a sea-doo trailer to haul a quad and or snowmobile :)

Back in the early days when I was driving my CJ-7 to the trail I had an inboard ski boat with tandem trailer, a little light with 2k axles.
The ski boat spent most all of its time on a lift in a covered slip, the trailer was used to pull the boat for maint and that's it. I made the outer bunks removable by cutting the brackets on the same plane as the main frame rails and fabbing bolt together angle brackets to the bunk brackets.
Remove the bunks, bolt down some 2x12 x16' and I had a jeep trailer- the boards sat on the main frame rails and the outer bunk supports- plenty of beef under them. I was on the bubble with capacity but it made two trips to Las Cruces and lots of shorter trips. Boat trailers tow nicer due to the axles being in the next zipcode (a lot of wheelbase) I used 3' ramps when wet, kept them in the bed of the tow truck- and my V8 dakota would tow this mess with ease, easily running with pimped Diesels (cause they were hauling 5k more truck trailer and rig)
