: will a tj p/steering setup work on my yj? 4004ever 03-20-2002, 01:28 PM I am about to pick up a p/steering setup from a 4.0 TJ and was wondering what is needed to make it fit my 92 YJ with 2.5L motor? I will be getting the pump, box, hoses and shaft from the TJ. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Shaun jeepinit 03-20-2002, 02:11 PM You can make just about any setup fit and function with enough work but what you need to look at is things like what is your bolt patern on you block you can hook up your p/s pump. I tried getting my jeep p/s pump to work on my 350 but ended up giving up and going to pick and pull and getting a chevy one and adapting it to my jeep steering box. Look at the differences in the way that they are both set up because you may end up having a lot of work ahead of you. badassjeepguy 03-20-2002, 10:21 PM the box will fit, but as per "thelakerat" tj box's arent as good due to only one seal on the sector shaft..... a chevy s-10 box will bolt in also..... im not sure bout the pump..... | |
