My picture is in the Jan 2000 edition of Off-Road Mag. On pg 36, in the fold is a red 82 Toy pickup. That's the Lemoore-on with me standing by his drivers fender. It's the "Toys on the Rubicon" article written by Jay K.

Commercial 4x4 magazines (most monthly magazines, actually) operate on a 6-month lead time basis. Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less, but for the most part, they have the layout all set about six issues in advance.

I had a 1 incher ( rig photo! ) on the cover a couple months back and remember thinking: I'M FAWKING FAMOUS!!!
Getting your rig in the mags is just cool.
Unless, of coase, the caption reads: " here is a good example of what not to do..." then the coolness factor goes down a bit.

This is me and my buddy, Bubba McGee's only claim to fame! Not much but I was happy I made it. Actually shocked. My truck doesnt have chrome shocks or neon on it anywhere! It must be becuase of my buddies Jeep. The west coast weanie magazine guys dont seem to think a 4x4 that doesnt crawl on rocks is magazine worthy anymore. And if they do show a fullsize its some freakin chromed out trailer queen. WE DONT ALL LIVE NEAR ROCKS (yet, I move to colorado springs in June)
