: Which route???

I am planning on building a shortented pickup (around 115 wb) for a trail rig. I am trying to decide which route would be best. I could either start with an 88-96 f350 and trim it or go with a 88-96 f250 and trim it plus do a solid axle swap. I would like to find one that has a 351 and manual tranny regular cab. I can find f250s that meet these specs a lot eiser plus cheaper than f350s, but am not sure if the price and the amount of work for the swap would make it worth it. How hard is this swap. Does it require any extensive modifications. If it just bolts in would the finished product be as good as the f350 or am I just waisting my time and should just start with the f350 in the first place.
