I have a toyota and am wanting to put in a 1.6 liter fuel injection engine into and was wondering about adapters to bolt it up to the toyota transmission, where to get them and how much you have gotten them for. Also how hard was it to set up the fuel injection, just need the computer and such or do I have to get the entire wiring harness?

The is the RingeR a billet aluminum adapter that bolts in-between the Suzuki 1.6 liter engine and Toyota 4 & 6 cylinder manual transmissions (Turbo included). The RingeR gives you the advantage of a stronger transmission and t-case(s), along with the ability to increase crawl ratios to a mind boggling 677 to 1 if one was so inclined (insane). Slight modifications are needed for the clutch and throw out bearing, but these two parts along with the pilot bearing can be bought off the shelf anywhere in the world. If one chooses, these parts can be included with the RingeR at an additional charge. 4cyl. Transmission Adapter Part #-S2T4; 6cyl. Adapter Part # -S2T6 Patent Pending

Scwafish has a write up on Offroad.com. If I've followed correctly, you will also need the bell housing from a Sidekick 1600 5spd.

Yep. You need a 1.6 and bellhousing, the RingeR and a toy tranny, a new clutch disc, and a modified kick throwout (realease) bearing). Kerry has a RingeR for most any toy 4x4 tranny at this point. Kerry can give you the latest cost, somewhere between 4-5 hunred depending on what you get from SOS. Mine fit perfect, and even looks sweet.

Why not 22r? because I can shed 300 or so pounds by putting in the 1.6 and have nearly the same power that's why. I'm going light!

A Sidekick 1.6 may have nearly the same power but it lacks a fair amount of torque!

99 lb/ft for the sidekick
141 lb/ft for a 22RE (I know that carbed stock 22R's don't have this muck torque though)
