It wasn't squealing or anything like that when it was in the truck. I'm swapping in another SM465 and when I spin the throwout bearing it sounds fairly rough...sort of like an old roller skate wheel. Is this thing about to take a dive?
I'm probably gonna replace it anyway cause pulling a SM465 and NP205 out of a cruiser is not my idea of a fun time.

I think it is a good idea to replace it. How much is left of the clutch disc? Is it time to replace that or would that effect the (auto) fund? Just grease it(hehehehe) in your packing tool(hehehehe) and that will quiet it right down(hehehehe). When you are done I'll sell you a clutch disc(hehehehehe)

Yah!:D That's the ticket! I do remember the guy that pulled his whole transmission to GREASE his throwout bearing:laughing:
The clutch disc actually has alot left. I was quite surprised when I took a look at it last night.
I think the bearing cost me $38 last time I got it 6 years ago.
